Drax has given £3,700 from a safety scheme involving staff and contractors at the power station to The Steve Prescott Foundation, founded in 2008 by the ex Hull and St Helen’s player after he was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei a rare form of stomach cancer.

Fundraising efforts on and off the course at Fulford Golf Club have enabled Drax to hand over a cheque for £14,520 to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA), almost half as much again as the target of £10,000 Drax had set for the day.
