In the week commencing 10 September 2007, Drax launched Art In The Community, the latest strand in our community relations programme. The first initiative under this banner is an art competition open to selected schools within a five mile (approximate) radius of Drax Power Station.
Installation of the first turbine starts ahead of schedule…
On 14 August 2007, Drax Power Station took delivery of a high pressure turbine module. The delivery marked the early start of the largest steam turbine modernisation project in UK history.
