Notes for parties visiting Drax

Please note that Drax Power Limited is an operational site, so we advise that you bring the minimum amount of baggage on site. The visiting party will be asked to conform to safety procedures and instructions whilst on site. During parts of the tour it is a requirement to wear protective equipment (helmet, ear defenders and safety glasses) which will be provided by us. The walking tours will include climbing stairs etc, therefore sturdy footwear and comfortable clothing is required.

How to get to Drax

The main entrance to the Power Station is located on the road between the villages of Camblesforth and Drax, about one mile east of the A1041 Selby to Snaith road.

From York and the north, follow the A19 to Selby and then follow the A1041 towards Snaith for about 5 miles, turning left immediately after Camblesforth village.

From the south join the M62 and follow directions for Hull. At junction 36 turn on to the A614. At the first roundabout take the second exit on to the A645 signposted Drax. At the next roundabout take the first exit signposted Selby and the Site Entrance is approximately 150 metres on the right.
